This connector doesn't ask you to sign in and doesn't request access to any account. It only searches and displays Houfy's own public listing data — the same information anyone can already see on houfy.com.

For IT & security teams

Data accessed Houfy's own public listing data only — the same information any visitor sees on houfy.com. No user accounts, files, or private data of any kind are read or stored.

Authentication None. No OAuth, no API key, no login flow — there is nothing for a user or admin to authorize.

Permissions requested None. This connector cannot request account access because it never asks for any.

Capabilities Read-only. Three tools — search, get_listing, fetch — all retrieve public data; none create, modify, delete, or pay for anything.

Conversation data The server is stateless — each request is handled independently, with no session or conversation history stored between calls.

Abuse protection Per-IP rate limiting is enforced on the server.

Common questions

Is this an official Houfy product?

Yes. It's built and maintained by Houfy, using the same live listing data as houfy.com — not a third party reading our site.

Does it cost anything to use?

No. There's nothing to install beyond connecting it in your assistant, and no Houfy account is required to search.

Can I book my stay through the assistant?

No — booking always happens on Houfy, directly with the host. The assistant only searches and shows you listings; every result links back to houfy.com to complete a reservation, the same direct-booking flow Houfy has always used.

Troubleshooting

It says the date is "ambiguous"

Dates like 10/12 could mean October 12 or 12 October depending on convention, so rather than guess, the connector asks for an unambiguous format — write dates as 2027-10-12 (year-month-day) and it will always work.

It says the currency wasn't recognized

Use a standard 3-letter code (EUR, GBP, INR, etc.). If you don't specify one, pricing shows in USD by default.

A search came back empty

That's usually a real result, not an error — for example, "beachfront" listings won't exist in an inland city. Try loosening one filter (a wider price range, fewer amenities, or a nearby destination) and search again.

It's responding slowly or getting rate-limited

The server limits how many requests can come from one place per minute, as a safeguard against abuse. If you hit that limit, wait a few seconds and try again.

The connector won't connect at all

Double-check the address is exactly https://mcp.houfy.com/mcp. Nothing else is needed — no sign-in, no API key, no extra setup.
